Young woman, believed to be a relative, in critical condition at Cork University Hospital

A Garda investigation is underway after the bodies of two people were found in a house in Cobh, Co Cork on Sunday.

The bodies of a man and a woman, both of whom were in their late 40s, were discovered at a house at O’Neill’s Place at around 3.30pm.

A woman in her early 20s who was in the house at the time and is believed to be related to the deceased has been removed to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.

The scene has been sealed off pending a full Garda technical examination. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
