Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with a violent hijacking in Northern Ireland.
A woman was forced out of her red Kia Ceed car as she slowed down on the Pinehill Road in Dunmurray, near Lisburn, during the incident at around 11am yesterday.
Investigators said one of two men who approached her smashed the driver side window of the car and ordered the woman out.
The men then fled in the vehicle. It was later found burnt out at around 1pm in the Manor Park area of Lurgan.
A 14-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were later arrested before being released on bail, pending further inquiries.
Police said they are looking to speak to two men and two women, all believed to be in their early 20s, who were standing on the nearby Hillhall Road at the time of the incident.
Detective Inspector Chris Millar said: “Police would also like to speak to the driver of a white 4 x 4 vehicle which was in the area of Pinehill Road and may have witnessed this incident and have information which could assist this investigation.”
