The remains of Oisín O'Driscoll (7), discovered dead beside his mother Sinéad Higgins in London last week, will be laid to rest in Bray, Co Wicklow, on Friday.
UK police have said the deaths were consistent with murder-suicide.
The bodies of Ms Higgins (37) and her son were discovered at an address at The Fairway, Ruislip, in London last Wednesday.
The alarm was raised by a third party who informed police of their concerns in relation to the welfare of the mother and son.
A funeral notice for Oisín said: “Tragically taken at the tender age of seven years. Sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of experiencing his infectious smile and his warm heart, especially his loving dad Shane, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, extended family and friends.”
A requiem Mass will be held at 10am in the Holy Redeemer Church, Main Street, Bray, after which he will be laid to rest at Kilternan Cemetery Park.
