Collopy brothers admit possession of heroin worth €50,000

Two Limerick men facing minimum mandatory sentences of 10 years

Two Limerick brothers have pleaded guilty to drugs offences, which carry mandatory minimum 10-year jail sentences.

Brian Collopy and Kieran Collopy pleaded guilty before Limerick Circuit Court on Friday to possession of an estimated €50,000 worth of heroin at a house in St Mary's Park, Limerick, on December 15th, last year.

They were caught cutting up heroin on a kitchen table when armed gardaí raided the house.

They will be sentenced on May 13th.
