Wesley Quirke, husband of former Miss World Rosanna Davison, has been fined €250 because the tinted windows on his Lamborghini car were too dark.

He appeared before Judge Patricia McNamara at Dublin District Court where he pleaded guilty to breaking motoring regulations.

A summons had been issued against the 31-year-old under the Road Traffic Regulations. It stated that on May 27th last, at Swords Road, Whitehall, Dublin 9, he drove his ‘08-reg car which had darkened windows. The windows meant he did not have at all times, while controlling his vehicle, a view of the road in front and to the sides as to be able to drive safely.

Mr Quirke, of Brennanstown Road, Cabinteely, Dublin 18 told the court he was pleading guilty to the charge.

Traffic Garda Dominic Noonan, based in Dublin Castle, gave evidence and told Judge McNamara that the windows on Mr Quirke’s car were 80 per cent tinted and he could not see into the vehicle.

Gda Noonan said that three weeks previously he had spoken to Mr Quirke about his car windows and told him he needed to get them fixed but that was not done.

When asked his occupation he told the judge he worked in a casino.

Judge McNamara fined him €250 and she ordered that it must be paid within one month otherwise Mr Quirke would be jailed for one week in default.
