Four men have been arrested following separate drug seizures in Co Tipperary and Co Dublin.

Three men, one in his 40s and two in their 50s, were arrested following a seizure of cannabis plants and cannabis herb with an estimated combined street value of €700,000 in Co Tipperary.

The substances were recovered during a search of premises at Boytonrath, Boreen, Kileenasteena, New Inn. A cannabis grow house was discovered in the first premises, while a drying house was found in the second premises.

A single barrel shotgun was also discovered during the course of the search.

The men are being held in Tipperary and Cahir Garda stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

In a separate incident, a man (19) has been arrested following the seizure of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €100,000 in north Dublin.

The seizure was made after gardaí searched a house in Santry this morning.

The man was arrested at the house. He is currently being held in Swords Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí say the arrest is part of a continuing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the area.
