Gardaí are investigating a fire at a property in west Dublin close to where three people were shot and wounded earlier in the week.

The blaze destroyed the property on Thursday morning at Parslickstown Gardens, Mulhuddart.

Garda sources said it appeared nobody was in the house when the fire was noticed just before noon.

A criminal inquiry is under way and the scene has been sealed off for examination by gardaí.
