Gardaí appeal for witnesses to sexual assault in Dublin

Gardaí are seeking witnesses to a sexual assault in Carpenterstown Park, Diswellstown Road, Dublin 15 last Saturday morning.

A woman in her late 30s was approached and then assaulted on October 18th at about 7.30am at Carpenterstown Park, known locally as Tír Na nÓg Park, while she was walking.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian in his late 20s, 172 - 175cm in height (5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches), with straight brown hair short at the back and longer in the front.

He wore braces on his teeth. He spoke good English with a foreign accent. He wore a grey hoody top and dirty beige trousers at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information, particularly those who were in the vicinity of Carpenterstown Park last Saturday between 6.45am and 7.45am, is urged to contact Blanchardstown Garda station on (01) 666 7000, the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any other station.
