A 38-year-old man is being questioned by gardaí today following the seizure of cocaine woth an estimated €560,000 in Co Kilkenny.
Gardai from the Regional Support Unit stopped and searched a van at Jordanstown, Paulstown, Co Kilkenny at about 6.30pm yesterday.
The man was arrested at the scene following the discovery of the drugs in the van.
He was taken to Thomastown Garda station where he is being held under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

A Garda spokesman said the arrest came as part of an intelligence-led planned operation by gardai from Kilkenny and Thomastown.
“These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks,” he said.
