Gardaí find heroin worth €840,000 in parked car

Narcotics stash discovered in Dublin following public tip-off

A public tip-off led to gardaí seizing €840,000 worth of heroin from a parked car in Dublin during the week.

Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Crumlin Garda Station conducted a search in the Limekiln Lane area of Walkinstown on Thursday afternoon after receiving information about suspicious activity in the area.

They found a substantial amount of narcotics in a parked car, but no arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí have appealed to members of the public to come forward to their local Garda station with any information they may have in relation to the seizure, or to call the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
