Gardaí investigate death of woman in Dublin

Postmortem on female in 50s due today; scene at Firhouse preserved

Gardaí are investigating the death of a woman, whose body was discovered in Firhouse, Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to a house on Woodlawn Park Grove at 1.30pm. The woman in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.

A postmortem will take place today at Tallaght hospital and will be carried out by State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy.

Gardaí have sealed off the house pending the results of the postmortem. Gardai in Rathfarnham are investigating.
