Cannabis worth an estimated €1 million has been seized and a man arrested after a Garda operation in Dublin.

Members of the National Drugs Unit based at Dublin Castle searched an industrial premises at the North West Business Centre yesterday (Friday) evening.

A Garda spokemsna said that during the course of the search, some 100 kilos of cannabis resin and herb was discovered. This is subject to analysis.

The scene is currently being technically examined.

A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene and he is being held at Blanchardstown Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
