Annual Brian Walsh lecture rescheduled
The eighth annual Brian Walsh lecture, postponed since last December, will take place on Thursday, March 3rd, at 6.30pm in the Distillery Building, 145-151 Church Sreet, Dublin 7.
The topic is “Irish and European Law: The Limits of Sovereignty” and the speaker is former chief justice, Mr Justice Ronan Keane. The lecture will be chaired by the Chief Justice, Mr Justice John Murray, and will be followed by a wine reception.

Northern rights commissioner post
The Northern Ireland Office is inviting applications for the positions of chief commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, a five- year full-time post, and seven part-time commissioners, who serve three years. The appointment will be from September 1st for a term of up to five years, with the possibility of a second term.

Privacy seminar
A free seminar on "Media and Privacy", organised by the Cleraun Media Forum, will take place in the Ely University Centre, Hume Street, Dublin 2, tomorrow at 7.30pm.

Legal international disability masters
NUI Galway's Centre for Disability Law and Policy has just launched an LLM in international and comparative disability law and policy, one of the first of its kind in the world.
The LLM is a one-year programme, from September to August. Applications through pac.ie
Seminar on sexual offences
A seminar entitled "Prosecuting and Defending Sexual Offences" will take place from 2pm-6pm next Thursday in Griffith College, Dublin. It will be chaired by Mr Justice George Bermingham.
Delegate fees are €280, with special rates for sole practitioners and registered charities. There is also a benevolent fund for the unwaged solicitor.
