UCC conference on enforcing EU environment law

A conference on “Enforcing EU Environmental Law” will take place at the faculty of law at UCC next Friday from 2pm-5.30pm in the UCC Brookfield Health Science Complex.

The event is supported by the Communicating Europe Initiative. Admission is free, but advance registration is essential.

Law and Society fatherhood lecture

The inaugural annual Law and Society lecture, hosted by the school of law and government at DCU, takes place on Thursday, December 2nd, at 6.30pm in the Mella Carroll lecture theatre, DCU Nursing Building.

Chaired by Carol Coulter of The Irish Times, Prof Richard Collier, professor of law and social theory at the University of Newcastle will speak on “Fatherhood, Law and Personal Life: Rethinking Debates about Fathers and Law”.

Personal debt and bankruptcy forum

Mr Justice Brian McGovern (right) of the High Court will chair a conference on personal debt and bankruptcy tomorrow in Griffith College, Dublin, from 1pm to 6pm.

The conference carries five CPD hours and costs €350.

Breakfast briefing on compliance
