Trinity to hold conference on judicial reviews
The school of law at Trinity College Dublin is holding a conference on judicial reviews on June 27th.
It will address important decisions which have recently been handed down, in particular in contexts such as planning or immigration, against the background of the domestic incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights.

New ‘Employment Law Review’ version
FirstLaw has established a new version of the Employment Law Review: Ireland.
Edited by barristers Dr Neville Cox and Des Ryan of the law school at Trinity College Dublin, the Review will be published quarterly and will feature analysis and updates on significant aspects of employment law.

Financial services regulation lecture
The Irish Society for European Law is hosting a lecture on Financial Services Regulation in Ireland in the Context of the Banking Crisis next Thursday at 6.30pm in the Law Society, Blackhall Place, Dublin, to be followed by a dinner.
Speakers include Robert Cain (Arthur Cox), Pat Farrell (Irish Banking Federation) and David Hodnett (Commission for Aviation Regulation). The event will be chaired by William Beausang (financial services division, Department of Finance).
The free lecture is open to all. CPD points are available.

Summer camp on law for children
Heritage Solicitors in Clonee, Co Dublin, have started a summer camp on law for children aged 12-17.
The course runs for 10 days and costs €350. It covers settlement negotiations, advocacy skills and an overview of life in the Four Courts, culminating in a mock trial. Further information from www.lawcamp4kids.ie
