UCC conference to hear papers on human rights
On Thursday next the Centre for Criminal Justice and Human Rights in UCC will host its second Annual Postgraduate Conference.
More than 30 papers will be presented on current issues in the fields of criminal justice and human rights by postgraduate research students from throughout Europe.
The keynote speaker is Prof Michael O'Flaherty, director of the Centre for Human Rights at Nottingham University and member of the UN Human Rights Committee. Further details are available at: http://www.ucc.ie/en/ccjhr/ events.
Employment law conference
The annual Thomson Roundhall employment law conference will take place on May 24th next, in the Distillery Building, Church St, Dublin. It will be chaired by Mr Justice Roderick Murphy. Topics include foreign nationals in the workplace, legal intervention in the pre-dismissal process, protected disclosures and developments in health and safety law.
