Man (19) arrested in connection with Meath post office robbery

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a post office in Co Meath on Thursday.

Two armed and masked men entered the premises in Enfield at around 10.30am, demanding cash from the employees.

They fled the scene with a sum of money. No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained.

Investigating gardaí arrested a 19-year-old man in Dublin yesterday under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon charged with the robbery.

A Garda spokesperson said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
