A 40-year-old man has died following a two-car crash in Co Roscommon on Sunday.
Gardaí said the collision happened at Carramore, near Roscommon town, at about 11.20pm.
The male driver of one of the cars was seriously injured and taken to Ballinasloe general hospital by ambulance.
He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. There was no one else travelling in the car.
A 44-year-old female driver and a 15-year-old girl in the second car were also injured. They were taken to Tullamore general hospital and their injuries are described as non-life threatening.
The road is currently closed to allow forensic investigators to examine the scene.

Separately, a man in his early 30s died when he his motorcycle collided with a car in Co Meath on Sunday.
The incident happened on the R154 on Trim Road at Warrenstown shortly before 4.30pm.
The man, who was the only person travelling on the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan where a postmortem will take place.
The people in the car were not injured.
