Gardaí have seized a cocktail of illegal drugs and arrested a suspect after an operation in Rathfarnham, south Dublin, targeting the narcotics trade.

The arrested man is in his 30s and was detained in Rathfarnham on Monday night after drugs valued at more than €120,000 was seized.

Gardaí from the North Central Divisional Drug Unit, based in Store Street Garda station in the north inner city, carried out the search at about 10pm and seized cannabis valued at approximately €60,000.

They also found methamphetamine valued at about €49,500 as well as an assortment of tablets, valued at €3,100, which have been sent for analysis.

“A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in connection with the search and taken to Store Street Garda station where he is being detained,” said the Garda.
