Man arrested after 1kg cannabis seized in Dublin Port

Herbal drug discovered by Revenue officials in vehicle arriving from Holyhead

Cannabis with an estimated street value of €20,000 was seized at Dublin Port today.

One kilo of the herbal drug was discovered hidden in a vehicle which had arrived on board a ferry from Holyhead.

The discovery was made during “routine profiling”, the Revenue Customs Service said.

A 23-year-old man was arrested by gardaí and taken to Store Street Garda station for questioning.
