A man has been arrested after an incident in south Dublin that involved armed gardaí.
The incident began this afternoon at about 3pm on Cashel Avenue, Crumlin.
The man is believed to have climbed onto the roof of a house but it was unclear what his motives were.

Armed provided back-up on the scene as a precautionary measure.
The road has been reopened to the public.
A Garda spokesperson said the stand-off is now over and the man is being detained at Kevin Street Garda station.
In a tweet, local Dublin City Councillor Dáithi de Róiste had described the incident as “very worrying”.
