Seizure made following search of 36-year-old man in Lucan

A 36-year-old man was arrested after two handguns and a small amount of cocaine were found in Lucan, west Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí in Ronanstown searched the man at Newlands Road about 6.30pm.

The man is in custody at the Ronanstown garda station under the offences against the State Act.

Separately, a 28-year-old man was arrested after a drug seizure worth €128,000 in Portsalon, Co Donegal last night.

Gardaí found 321 cannabis plants during a search at a house in Maherwarden.

The seizure was part of an ongoing operation by gardaí in Milford and the Divisional Drug Unit and Crime Unit based in Letterkenny.
