Gardaí arrest man in his 30s, recover firearm following incident on Friday

A man has been arrested following a shooting incident in Dublin on Friday morning.

Gardaí say three men approached a house on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot at about 10am and a number of shots were allegedly fired.

Gardaí were called to the scene and one man aged in his 30s was arrested. A firearm was also recovered.

The man is currently being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
