Police in Belfast have arrested a man (33) over a paramilitary style assault in the city.
Police believe the victim, a man (36), was beaten with baseball bats when a group entered a house on Forthriver Drive in the north of the city.
“The 36-year-old victim was set upon by around seven males who forced their way into his home at around 10pm,” Detective Constable Gareth Hussey.
The victim sustained a number of suspected fractures but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening, the PSNI said.

“A suspect was subsequently arrested in the Crumlin Road area at around 2am. He remains in custody at this time assisting us with our enquiries.”
