A man in his late 20s is due in court this morning in connection with the seizure of a firearm and drugs in Longford yesterday.
The seizure was made at a house in Edgeworthstown during a planned search at about 4pm.
Gardaí found a 9mm pistol and a small quantity of drugs, believed to be cocaine, cannabis and crystal meth.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and detained at Longford Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act, 1939.
