Man in court over alleged dissident republican activity

Two males were arrested on Tuesday as part of ongoing operation by gardaí in Dublin

A man appeared before the Special Criminal Court on Wednesday evening in connection with dissident republican activity.

Gardaí arrested two men, one aged 30 and another aged 25, on Tuesday as part of an ongoing operation targeting dissident republican activity in Dublin.

Both men were detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and were held at Irishtown Garda station.

The 25-year-old man was released from custody on Wednesday.
