A 30-year-old man was jailed today after he was caught smuggling cigarettes valued at €8,000 into Dublin Airport.

Revenue Customs officers stopped the Romanian man who had arrived in Dublin on a flight from Abu Dhabi. The officers searched his luggage and found some 16,800 cigarettes of Marlboro, Davidoff Gold and Kent brands.
