A man has been hospitalised after being knocked down in a hit and run in Co Westmeath.
Gardaí are seeking witnesses to the incident, which occured at 3.00pm on Tuesday at Magheraboy Upper, Finea.
The pedestrian in his late 30s suffered serious injuries and was taken to Beaumont Hospital.
The car that struck him is said to be a dark coloured saloon which had come from the Ballyjamesduff direction.
