Nine people have been arrested following an investigation into illegal hare coursing in Tipperary.
A number of “lurcher” breed dogs have also been seized along with equipment.
The arrests were made by gardaí and members of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, who conducted a large-scale operation at a number of locations.
Those arrested are being held at Cahir, Thurles, Tipperary, Templemore and Clonmel Garda Stations.

They are being detained under the Provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended for offences under the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013.
