One person hospitalised after fire in north Dublin

Fire in apartment block on North Circular Road broke out at 10pm on Sunday

One person has been taken to hospital following a fire in north Dublin on Sunday night.

Dublin Fire Brigade was called to a block of apartments on the North Circular Road directly across from the Mater Hospital after the alarm was raised at about 10pm on Sunday.

Four apartments were evacuated in the building and one person was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

Dublin Fire Brigade successfully brought the fire under control by 11pm. Gardaí are investigating the incident.
