A Garda hunt is underway after a man knocked down a pedestrian while fleeing the scene of an alleged attempted robbery in Dublin.
The incident occured at about 10.50am after a man attempted to steal from a van in the Kilshane Cross area in Finglas, north Dublin.
When he was disturbed by the van owner he got into a Mazda car and drove away from the scene whereupon he hit a male pedestrian.
He then got out of the car andfled through fields at Kilshane Cross, gardaí said.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries while a Garda search is now under way, supported by units from the forces air division.
