Gardaí are appealing for information following three robberies in Dublin today.
A security man servicing an ATM outside Blanchardstown Shopping Centre was struck on the head from behind by a man at around 1.20pm, who stole a security box containing a large amount of cash.
The raider made his escape in a dark coloured BMW car driven by a second man.
The security man was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A technical examination of the scene has taken place and investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda station on 01 6667000 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
Two separate armed robberies took place in the Balbriggan area this morning.
A female member of staff at a bookmakers on Main Street in Lusk was threatened by two men armed with a shotgun at around 11.25am.
They made off with a small sum of cash in a dark coloured Mercedes car, which is thought to have travelled out of Lusk village in the direction of the Rush roundabout.
There were no shots fired, and no one was injured.
A short time later, two armed and masked men threatened a female shop attendant in a convenience store in Oldtown. They left the scene with a small amount of cash and cigarettes.
The men fled the scene in a dark Mercedes, which travelled in the direction of the Fieldstown Bridge towards Dublin.
Technical examinations at both scenes have been carried out and enquiries are ongoing.
