Tallaght Luas Red Line stop closed after two males assaulted

No arrests made after males hospitalised following assault while waiting at stop

Gardaí have closed the Tallaght Luas Red Line stop following an assault which left two men hospitalised.

Luas operators announced the stop had been temporarily closed at approximately 8pm after the incident.

According to gardaí, two males were assaulted while waiting at the stop and sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment.

No arrests have been made, and neither the identity of the victims or the nature of their injuries are known as of yet.

The Tallaght stop was to remain closed for an indefinite period, but other Red Line stops were operating as normal.
