A 16-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after falling into a river in Cork on Saturday evening.
The teenager, who is from the Mayfield area of Cork, was riding a horse when he fell into Glashaboy river in Glanmire at about 7pm.
A search was launched and the teenager was recovered from the river in critical condition.
It is understood the boy was in the river for some time before he was found.

He was brought by ambulance to Cork University Hospital.
