Three men held over Toddy Dooley murder in Edenderry

A 24-year-old and two 19-year-olds arrested in Celbridge and Edenderry

A third man has been arrested this evening by gardaí investigating the murder of 64-year-old Thomas (Toddy) Dooley at a house in Edenderry, Co. Offaly on February 16th.

The 24-year-old was arrested in Celbridge, Co Kildare, shortly before 5pm.

He is being held under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Portlaoise Garda Station.

Earlier, two 19-year-old men were arrested in Edenderry and are being held at Tullamore garda station in connection with the same investigation.

Mr Dooley, who lived alone, was found on a couch in the living room of his home in Sister Senan Court, Edenderry, with injuries to his upper body and head.
