Toddler in ‘serious condition’ after being hit by car in driveway

A 16-month-old girl was injured outside her home in Co Galway

A toddler is in hospital after she was struck by a car in the driveway of a house in Galway on Monday evening.

Gardaí said the 16-month-old girl was in a “serious condition” on Tuesday morning following the incident on the driveway of her home in Kilbannon, Tuam about 5.50pm.

The child was brought to University Hospital Galway and then transferred to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin for treatment.
