Two arrested over carjacking in Ballymun

Pizza delivery man had his car taken by a man and woman

Two people have been arrested after a pizza delivery car was stolen in Ballymun, in Dublin, last night.

The incident happened at Marewood Drive when a male driver (50) making a delivery in the area was approached by a number of people.

According to gardaí, one man then forced the driver out of the car and drove away from the scene with a woman.

The car was driven to Cloonlara Crescent where it was abandoned.

A 24-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

They are being questioned at Ballymun Garda station.
