Two people were treated in hospital after they were attacked during an aggravated burglary at a house in Cork early this morning.
Three men armed with implements entered the home at Monastery Hill, Blarney Street, between 2.35am and 3am, a Garda spokeswoman said.
They assaulted the four occupants - two men and two women, all of whom are in their mid-20s.
The suspects fled but two were located shortly afterwards by gardaí. The third suspect escaped on foot, the Garda spokeswoman added.
A 32-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were arrested and they were detained at Gurranabraher Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A man and a woman living at the house were taken to Cork University Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí in Gurranabraher have appealed for witnesses.
