Two men have been arrested after gardaí seized assorted drugs worth an estimated €460,000 in Dublin on Tuesday.
A Garda spokesman said a planned search of two vehicles was carried out in the Finglas area as part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the north Dublin area.
Gardaí from the Ballymun District drug unit found cannabis herb, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs.
Further searches of premises were carried out in the Finglas and Blanchardstown areas and a “substantial amount” of cash was recovered, the spokesman said.
Two men, aged 39 and 33, were arrested and are currently detained at Ballymun Garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
The operation was carried out by gardaí attached to various district units at Ballymun Garda station with the assistance of the local community, the spokesman added.
