Woman charged with Belfast trafficking offences

38-year-old accused of three counts of acting as an unlicensed gang master

A woman is to appear in court in connection with the trafficking of five people in Belfast last month.

A woman is to appear in court in next month charged connection with the trafficking of five people in Belfast last month.

The 38-year-old’s was arrested on Friday and detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch charged her with three counts of committing an offence with intent to commit a slavery or human trafficking offence, three counts of acting as an unlicensed gang master and money laundering by acquiring criminal property.

She is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on September 3rd.

Hungarian man, Zoltan Raffael (39), was remanded in custody last week as part of the same investigation.
