A woman in her 20s was injured early on Monday morning after she was hit by a vehicle in Fairview, north Dublin.
The woman, who was on foot when she was hit, was taken to the Mater hospital after the collision beside Fairview park at about 6.30am. The woman’s condition is unknown.
Monday morning’s collision follows two separate road crashes in Co Offaly and Co Donegal over the weekend in which two men were killed.
A man in his early 20s died after his 4X4 crashed at Clonlee, Kinnitty, Co Offaly early on Sunday morning. The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was fatally injured in the crash, which happened at about 2.30am. He has been named locally as John Egan.
His body was removed to Tullamore Hospital for a postmortem.
On Saturday morning a cyclist was killed and a second taken to hospital after a collision with a van in Inishowen, Co Donegal.
The crash happened on the Redcastle to Gleneely Road at Moneydarragh just after 9am. The man, who was in his 40s, was killed instantly in the collision. He was named locally as Adrian Mullin from Amelia Court in Derry.
The second cyclist was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital but his injuries were understood not to be life-threatening. The driver of the van was treated for shock but was not physically injured.
