A search on both sides of the border is continuing this morning for a 65-year-old woman who has been missing since last Thursday.

Mrs Attracta Harron of Curleyhill, Strabane, Co Tyrone, was last seen at 10 a.m. on December 11th at a church in Lifford. However, extensive searches have yielded nothing and gardai in Lifford have renewing their appeal for assistance.

Mrs Harron's son Micháel told RTÉ radio this morning that the disappearance was out of character.

"Anybody who would know my mum would know that she was very fit and well and she was not depressed in any way whatsoever. She was looking forward to Christmas," he said.
