Crowd trouble forced a delay in the second half of the UEFA Cup quarter-final second-leg match between PSV Eindhoven and German club Kaiserslautern tonight.

Spectators at PSV's Philips Stadium reacted angrily when a penalty was awarded to Kaiserslautern and the home team had a player sent off.

After the Germans scored the penalty, Dutch fans began surging through a gate on the edge of the pitch.

As the fans overwhelmed the stewards trying to hold back the crowd, the referee halted the match in the 75th minute and led the Kaiserslautern players off the pitch, while the Dutch team remained there.
