Havana - One of Cuba's best-known imprisoned dissidents, economist Ms Marta Beatriz Roque, was freed on Monday and immediately pledged to continue her opposition to President Fidel Castro's one-party communist system.
"Our only crime was a crime of ideas," Ms Roque (55), said yesterday at her Havana home, clutching the "conditional liberty" papers that granted her freedom more than six months before the end of her 3 1/2-year sentence.
