You've read the book, now see the movie . . .
The Da Vinci Code is expected to be one of the top three blockbusters of the year, and could even make it to number one, says Laura MacNaughton, film and marketing manager for UGC Cinemas on Dublin's Parnell Street.
That theatre, as well as the Savoy Cinema on O'Connell Street, have both started taking pre-bookings.The Savoy will be playing the film three times a day on two screens, one of which is the largest in the country. UGC Cinemas will have 13 show times daily on four screens.
John O'Donovan, manager of the Savoy Cinema, said The Da Vinci Code suits the old fashioned theatre.
He expects audience members to be people who have read the book, as well as those who have memories of visiting the theatre as children.
