UK publisher Daily Mail & General Trust has acquired three online businesses that specialise in autos and job searches for an initial consideration of £12.3 million (€17.7 million).

The acquisitions of Auto Exposure Limited, Interbase Limited and The Appointment Limited are the latest in a string of online acquisitions by the company, which also publishes the Daily Mailand London's Evening Standard.

The newly acquired companies have a total valuation of £17 million (€24.5m), combined turnover of £4.5 million (€6.5m), and are expected to be earnings enhancing before amortisation in DMGT's current financial year.

Like its peers in the struggling UK newspaper sector, DMGT has been aggressively investing in online properties to tap into the shift of marketing spending online. Other acquistions include the property site Primelocation and dating sites LoopyLove and GirlsDateForFree.
