Fiona Quilligan of Rubato Ballet celebrates the birth of a new century by creating Fertility Dance specifically for the Rotunda Hospital Pillar Room.

This explores male and female life cycles in dance with Zelda Francisca (pictured right), Malachy Burke, Miriam Bowe, Michael Cooney and Katherine O'Malley all contributing their zestful dancing, while sculptor Susan Cuffe designs the interior world in copper wire with river pearls, amethysts and glass.

It will be performed for the patients, staff and Friends of the Rotunda as well as for a week of lunchtime public performances. It will also be seen on the TG4 Splank arts series in May.
