London - The prime suspect for the murder of television presenter Jill Dando was spotted on a bus talking on a mobile phone minutes after her murder, an inquest heard yesterday.
The man, matching an E-fit description of a man seen sweating heavily close to the murder scene, was on a No 74 bus and got off at Putney Bridge tube station in south-west London, Det Chief Insp Hamish Campbell told the inquest. The man "either got on to the tube, got on to another bus, got into a car or got into a taxi", he told Fulham Coroner's Court.
