Former Danish international Allan Simonsen has said he would be keen to take over as the new boss of Scotland.
The job has been up for grabs since long-serving Craig Brown stepped down on Saturday after the Scots crashed out of the World Cup.
Simonsen, a former European footballer of the year, is in charge of Faroe Islands, but his contract expires next month.
"I think most international managers throughout Europe would be interested in the Scotland job," Simonsen told the Scottish Daily Express.
"I am no different - it would be an honour to manage a top country like Scotland.
"I am out of contract with the Faroe Isles on November 30th and although they want to extend my contract, I have a few other options from other clubs and countries.
"The Faroes have been good to me - but the problem is that the Faroe Isles is a very small country and there are limitations to what you can do because we certainly don't have the same number of players as you would have in Scotland," he said.
