Dart services resume with up to half hour delays

Dart and commuter services have resumed in both directions having been suspended earlier this afternoon between Booterstown and Pearse stations to facilitate repairs to the Merrion Gates which were damaged early this morning when a motorist crashed into them.

Significant damage was caused to the gates in the incident which happened shortly after 5.30am.

The gates were closed this afternoon for repairs and are not expected to re-open until after 6pm.

Gardaí are advising people to avoid the area if possible.
